Ski School Viehhofen has been around for over 30 years. For many guests, it has become a family tradition to spend their ski holidays here with us in Viehhofen every year. It all began in 1986 …
Ski School Viehhofen was founded in 1986 by Alois and Barbara Oberlader. Ski rentals and ski service were added in 1987. 2002 saw the business move right next to Landal Rehrenberg Holiday Park in the center of Viehhofen.

Sport Oberlader becomes Ski Dome Oberschneider …
After many successful years, Alois and Barbara Oberlader went into well-earned retirement in 2017. The Oberladers undertook a painstaking search for their successors, since it was a priority for them to ensure that their guests, customers and partners continued to be in the very best of hands. Ultimately, they decided in favor of Hermann Oberschneider from Zell am See-Kaprun.
Whole new ski-school standards…
For a number of years, Hermann Oberschneider and his team at the ski school have constantly raised the bar. After his own professional career, this state-certified ski instructor was employed as a ski-instructor trainer and demonstrator with Interski-Team-Austria. Furthermore, Hermann Oberschneider looks back on a highly successful career as a ski trainer. For example, a number of ski greats such as Olympic champion and multiple world champion Benni Raich were coached by Hermann Oberschneider.
Embarking to a whole new dimension…
In winter 1990 / 1991, Hermann Oberschneider opened his first ski school in Kaprun. Due to its great success and a steadily increasing number of participants, the offer was constantly expanded. In 2001, he embarked into a whole new ski-school dimension. In the center of Kaprun, Ski Dome I opened its doors. At the same time, Ski Dome II on the legendary Kitzsteinhorn glacier was launched.

Children and families are especially close to the hearts of Hermann Oberschneider and the Ski Dome Team. At Ski Dome Viehhofen, we do everything in our power to awaken the enthusiasm for winter sports in big and small alike. An enormous beginners’ area in the middle of Viehhofen, specially trained children’s ski instructors, playful learning and a cheerful penguin as the mascot: At BOBOs KinderSkiland in Viehhofen, kids and teens eagerly discover the exciting world of skiing and snowboarding.
